LAB operates through a strong multi-tier governance structure designed to ensure accountability, quality, and strategic oversight. At its core is the Governing Body, supported by standing committees that oversee key academic and regulatory functions. The Senior Leadership Team manages strategic and operational delivery, while dedicated operational and advisory roles ensure effective implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement across all activities.

External Expertise for Academic Quality
To ensure quality in the academic programme design and award/qualification delivery, LAB engages External Subject Specialists within its Academic Board. This includes appointing independent experts with current subject knowledge, clearly defining their roles, and involving them in regular review of curriculum, assessment, and academic standards. Their input supports benchmarking, assessment integrity, and programme currency, with formal reporting to governance committees, clear conflict-of-interest controls, and fixed terms to maintain independence and strengthen academic quality assurance.
